This is a great little classic 1930s wrapped Hostess gown and it is incredible to think that this little beauty would have originally been intended to be worn only in the house as perhaps a light house coat or hostess dress for the day as it makes for a beautiful full length day dress for a modern girl. The shoulders are detailed with soft pleats gathered into panels across the shoulders and the wrapped design allows for a peek of skin at the neck. The skirt has a pretty flare and I love the fuller cut sleeves with their pouf feel and cuffed finishes. The skirt is remarkably full - there are miles of fabric in there. Cinch in the waist and style with modern accessories and it will be as relevant now as then. It is truly a beautiful little early forties dress. Great overall condition.
Unlined and wraps to close with a button at the waist and interior ties. Has its original matching tie belt attached at the back. There are some scuffs and minor color discoloration throughout where the color has faded out a touch from a blush to a more cream. These are viewable when the garment is flat and spread out but when on the immense amount of fabric hide everything and it present as very good. I feel with a garment this age this is forgiveable and I have priced it accordingly. The wrap allows for a variety of sizes.
